Looks like a 629. There were several versions, the one pictured is a later model with the internal lock.
I believe that the 3" barrel was available in 1985 which IIRC would have been a -1.
Get ready, they are a hoot.....and they are a hot item bringing good money

I saw a 629 3" for sale on Bud's website last night, but it has the fluted cylinder instead of non-fluted like the one you posted the pic of. Selling for a little over $800.

With a 3" barrel and unfluted cylinder, I'd guess it's probably a Trailboss version. I have a 629-6 just like that.

I have one just like it and mine is a 629-1. 3" barrel. Where I bought it from explained that it was a limited edition run. I bought mine for about $600 in 1986. It is outstanding and accurate for a .44 magnum.shooting full .44 magnum loads cracked the original grips, which can be repaired. The shooting range I went to, the employees came back to see what I had, because whenever I fired it would knock their CCTV off, due to the power of my revolver. It is not for everyone. Two months ago I turned down a $1500 dollar offer for it.

The 3" 629-1 were Lew Horton guns IIRC.
The next batch of 3" 629s were made in Sept. of '89. I have one that is a 629-2E with 3" magna-ported full underlug barrel and unfluted cylinder that was made in that run.
It is a fantastic gun to shoot. Great balance with the 3" barrel. It is loud and powerful. My favorite 44mag which made me sell my Anacondas off.
I wouldn't let mine go for under $1500 either.

It was my understanding the I.L. was not installed into revolvers until about 2000.

That must be a 629-6 since it has the lock.

I think springer99 nailed it. It's a Trail Boss, product code 163409, or some close derivative. (What I'm not seeing is lanyard loop on the heel of the grip frame and the Hogue grips that you would find on the TB). The - 6 TB was a non Performance Center gun, made in relatively large numbers but I think they've been out of current production for about 10 years.
