Except when they went to .357 magnum, they pretty much all look alike. Seen one, seen 'em all. BTW, a 649-2 is the only "J" frame I own. The best combination of form and function in the genre.

Here's mine with added front XS standard night sight, Pachmayer Diamnond pros (I shoot 1250 FPS magnums all day without issue), and some other goodies you can't see.
It's going to TK for moon clips soon.
This is my 'when I work hard' carry gun. Put it in a Galco stow and go and never know it's there no matter how much bending, crunching, heavy lifting, squatting, etc.

I recently bought this 649 no dash online. It was a bit scratched up and had Hougue rubber tamer grips on it.
Here's what it looks like now after disassembling and going over with several different grits of sandpaper, some new imitation ivory grips and a new Tyler-T. It shoots like a dream now with a slick light DA trigger pull after spring changes and a bit of honing.

I think the 649 maybe my all time favorite CCW. Here's a Goldilocks perspective shot.

There are a couple/few M649's in here.....
Frankly all Bodyguards (except the new guns where they are re-using the name) are great. I think it was Leroy Thompson who called them "The Thinking Man's J frame".
