Default Latest arrival or "My personal perfect service revolver"

Came in at my FFL today while I was at work. A Model 4inch 19-5 RB.

I have always thought the Model 19 was the best .357 revolver out there. They are the perfect combo of size and power for me. My only gripe was that the SB grips never fit me just right. Target grips are just a bit too big, especially around my pinky and ring fingers. Magnas are perfect fitting into the palm but need more meat in front.

I have wanted a RB 4inch Model 19 for years and saw this one on GB last week. K frame RB target grips are just what the doctor ordered for my hands and these a gorgeous. It has been refinished and as such is the perfect nightstand gun to take over from my Model 10 RB snub. I may get a letter just to see if it left the factory with a 2.5in barrel and then was rebarreled and refinished. I would be very surprised if it was the original barrel.

Now that I have this revolver I have a much easier time deciding to send my recent 19-3 purchase back to the mothership for a bit of work and a refinish.

Now for some pics.

Nice piece! I shot my first 19 a few months back while visiting New Mexico. Great gun and it shot really well. Tried to buy it off of him when I beat him at the 30 yard line, but he wasn't selling.

It's on my 'one day list'.

Congrats on a great gun from a guy that also just picked up a refinished 19-5!

Very nice find!

I prefer RB revolvers and have several 4" guns with RB's.

I will buy a couple boxes of 158gr Magnum rounds to try but this will be a .38 +P bedside revolver for me. Also looking forward to cutting some sharp holes in paper with wadcutters. This revolver just points so well with RB targets.

Default M-19

Nice!!! I've had several over my life and regret getting rid of all of them. Started out my LE career with a 4", then to a 6", then to a M-66 2 1/2 " for my stint as a detective an finally a 4" nickel.

A couples years ago I bought a nice M-66-1 4". Love it but prefer the blued version. Still looking.
