Default S&W Model 68

Was the Model 68 ever offered in a 4 in barrel for the L.A. agencies?

Closest thing to a 4 inch Model 68 would be the Model 67. Other than the barrels, there is little difference between the two, not just length but the 67 lacks the ejector rod shroud of the 68.

Yeah, I know. I was curious as every M-68 I have seen were 6 in barrels and was wondering if a 4in was ever made or used.

I appreciate the info guys!

Wish they had made a 5" 68 or 66!! LA lea's were big enough S&W probably would have made it for them.

You can find an ISP or MHP 5" K-38 every now and then. There are several threads about them, REALLY neat guns!
