Default EDM rifling

Does anyone know when S&W changed from broached rifling to EDM rifling for revolver models 25 and 625, 29 and 629?

It is ECM, not EDM. Per this article, they started in 1993...

Firearms History, Technology & Development: Rifling: Manufacturing: Electro Chemical Machining

It is my understanding that PC guns still use broach cut rifling.

Adios,
