Just traded 2 pistols for 2 S&W revolvers!
Traded a EMP 9mm and a Sig 938 9mm for a S&W 60-15 3" and a S&W 686-6 SSR. I'm back to being a revolver guy and happy about the decision. Will shoot 'em on Monday! Anybody else make the retro switch?

Haven’t made the “switch” but do shoot both regularly, especially in IDPA and USPSA.
While not a top gun by any means, I do have fun and for me, that’s what it’s all about

If it goes bang, I’ll shoot it. OTOH, it seems like I’m now spending more time with my S&W revolvers than my other guns. The long guns and bottom stuffers are just sitting patiently in the safe waiting their turn, though.

I hate to admit how lazy I am, but lately I shoot my plastic bottom feeders the most. The reason is because cleaning them is so much easier.

I've kinda been on a .44 Special and .327 mag kick and one thing I like about shooting revolvers, especially since back surgery, is that unless I have some brass monkeys (aka; g-kids) with me, I appreciate not having to police and sort empty brass.
ETA:
Daily carry typically consists of G43 or M642.

I'm all about my revolvers now. Have a Colt Commander and a Walther PP collecting dust in the safe.

I have always been and continue to be a revolver guy. However, I am also a 1911 guy. I carry a compact 1911, not because of the capacity, but because I shoot it better. I've just never developed a lot of double action marksmanship. S&W wheel guns will always own my heart.

I have in the past made pretty drastic switches back and forth from plastic autos to revolvers... and back again. Finally I assembled a basic collection of my favorite samples from all the various handguns I'd owned. So my mainstays are pretty much covered across general platforms (the universal trifecta of 686, Colt 1911, Glock 19). Everything else is just gravy.

Shouldn't it be "Just traded 2 HANDGUNS...."?

Similar situation here. I have an accumulation of mainstays. In revolvers a selection of K frames, a couple of N frames and a L frames. In semis, a 1911, P series Sigs, and CZ 75s. I tend to switch back and forth. My only plastic handgun is a SD9VE- which, frankly, is a surprisingly competent pistol.

Well, I am not on a retro switch. I have a couple semi's that are going up in value. Let's just say, the last 6 guns have been revolvers. The next one will be also

Last year at a gun show, I traded my last & only poly bottom feeder for a Smith revolver. Granted, it is not a retro gun. 686-6 Pro Series. 5" barrel. I really like it. DON'T miss poly! Bob

Except for a 1911 (used in 22, 38 & 45 Bullseye Match shooting) , semi auto's never really held an attraction.
Single action Rugers and DA S&W's always were my leanings.
Watched too many Western TV shows and movies and read too many articles and books by Elmer Keith and Skeeter Skelton ...my likes and preferences were made up from early on .... revolvers ruled !

One of my kids got a Beretta 92fs for Chistmas and I made the mistake of firing it a couple of weeks ago.
Fast forward to the San Antonio gun show....because you would find me trading in one of my revolvers for a beautiful 92fs . Yikes. It's fun to shoot though.
