64-3 Trade
Am in middle of trade. Have 57 blue 8 3/8" shooter grade. Guy
wants to trade 64-3 / 3" at 90%+. He seems to think it's worth
Big bucks because it's 3". I'm not into gut busters, what is practical price for these?

The 3" barrel does make it a premium gun. If it's not dinged up with a lot of scratches, and locks up good and tight, I estimate it's worth $400, maybe a little more. I have one that's an old LE trade-in. It is in fair condition but shoots really well. It's one of my favorite carry pistols when I want to carry a revolver.
Hope this helps.

Even though a 3" model 64 is relatively scarce these days, a model 65 is more desirable. That 3" could be as much as $150 more than a 4" model 64 in similar condition, and close to $100 more than a comparable 2". The N frames usually go for more than most K frames, so you have some bargaining leverage. But in the end, it's worth what someone will pay.

Thanks for info, I only deal in adj. sight guns and older models.
I get fixed sight guns on trade know and then but don't keep
them.

The 57 is certainly worth a good bit more; I would not trade even. It is an 8-3/8 barrel so I don't see 3 times, but double may be in the ball park.

Took the M64/3" on the 57 trade. I came over on a boat, but it
wasn't last night. Didn't even consider even trade. I really didn't
want it, but guy couldn't come up with the cash for 57. According
to info, I can break even or better when I trade or sell it. Factory
grips are with it,but he can't find box & docs, ect.

I am not an expert, but would think that you could get $500 for it. I was trying to work a deal on 1 on Armslist Ohio over the weekend. Was listed at $400. Not as nice as yours. It sold. Bob
