Default 460V muzzle comp issues

I have a fairly new 460V 5" The muzzle compensator is very very tight. Bent several hardened rods, trying to get it out, and when putting the lead bullet one in, same issue. It will only turn to the left, also. I put black marker ink all over it, trying to see where its sticking, cant see any where its sticking. The locking screw,(left hand thread) is traveling properly. The gun has had maybe 30 rds of factory loaded jacketed ammo. Also, what are the pros and cons of shooting the wrong bullet from the two comps? The factory manuel says it turns by hand, either left or right. mine sure wont.

Thanks in advance.

The comp can be tightened into position by "jamming" the the screw in either direction. Just make sure the screw is loose, not tight on either cw or ccw directions.

Lead bullets shoot through the jacket comp (the shorter of the two) will/may accumulate lead in the top holes making the comp very difficult to remove to clean.

I have seen no ill effects from shooting jacketed bullets form the comp intended for lead. Some tell me they preceive it does no reduce recoil as much as the jacket comp.

Once you get the comp out give it and the area holding the comp a good cleaning. It should be snug and be able to be rotated full 360 either direction. You can also remove the tighting screw and clean it when the comp is removed.

Good luck and be safe

I have the 460V as well.
I actually noticed with my initial cleaning, when I bought it, that the comps were quite tight in it.
I always remove the comp to clean, but it never seems to get easier.. Nor has it ever gotten harder.
Never really thought to look into it
