Default 686-4 plus prelock

I have been pondering thinning the heard in the safe. I have a S&W 686-4 Plus (7 shot), prelock, firing pin on the hammer and 2.5 inch barrel. I have pondered selling it but can't figure the value. Apparently these were only made for one year.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks for the help!!

If it was in the proper place, I can see it bringing $850 or more. Other factors could affect this value.

I'll buy all you've got at $850 a piece. They go for around $12-1500 on Gunbroker in excellent condition with box and docs.

It's the most popular barrel length (value-wise) of a scarce variation, so somewhere between $850 and $1500 sounds about right. However, it is like having money in your safe that will only go up in value...good luck on your selling decision .

See, you will give $850 for one without box and docs and unknown condition.I was right.

Edit:
Here is one that SOLD for $950 WITH A BOX:
Smith & Wesson 686-4 Plus Pre lock : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

So, b san , I think you should pay $850 without a box. Better than money in the bank.
