Default Craig Spegel "full size" J frame grips ???

My name will be coming up soon on Mr. Spegel's wait list (nearly 1 year) and I'm debating between the boot grips, extended boot grips or the full size grips for a J frame S&W 649.

Have his boot grips on a S&W 686 plus 3" revolver and they work being a larger frame. But not sure boot grips would work for me on the smaller J frame.

On Craig Spegel's website there's a picture of his J frame round butt full size grips. They look close in size to the full size rubber grips that came on my S&W 649.

Having big, fat hands I find these full size rubber grips give me best control and comfort when shooting 38 +P and 357 mag in the 649.
I do have the Uncle Mike's J frame boot grips and although much smaller don't give the same control with just two fingers.

Anyone have Craig Spegel full size J frame grips?
Need your thoughts and impressions please. Too big for CC?

P.S. - The S&W 649 will be a CC gun in OWB holster carried at 3:00 - 4:00.

Thanks, Paul

Boot grips are fine for J-Frames and .38+P, but if you plan to shoot magnums I would consider something larger.

The Uncle Mike's three finger rubber combat grips were designed by Mr. Spegel. I'm assuming his "full size" grips the same but in wood. I would have them checkered.

With that being said, that picture on his website is the first I've ever seen of them.

I have had full size on J Frame (642) which are best for shooting,
but went back to the Uncle Mike's boot grips (designed by Spegel)
for concealment. Unfortunately you can't have both.

Hi,
I just looked up Spegel's full-size "Granadillo" wood boot grips for a j-frame and then Uncle Mike's 59007 RB rubber full-size boots and they appear to be about the same size. I have a 360J with S&W full-size boot grips that look to be the same as the Uncle Mike's and I carry it in a size 03 Blackhawk pocket holster in my pocket regularly. In jeans it's about all that fits in my front pocket, but it does work there or in the back pocket.
