Default new classic series

Question: Are the new classic series revolvers built at the S&W Performance Center?

I'm thinking of either a new 586 or new model 27. I like the idea of a brand new gun.

Every revolver from the PC I've had was excellent.

The promotional materials say nothing about Performance Center. I believe they are just normal production guns made to look similar to the old ones.
