I picked up a 36-3 Lady Smith, 3" Blue, in the maroon hard case with the cardboard Lady Smith outer box. SN BBN4XXX. It looks ASNIB, with all the goodies inside. It's wearing a set of S&W J frame combat stocks that I assumed were not original. Looking at the SCSW it mentions the 3" models came with combat stocks.

Anyone know about the stocks or have one like it?

And I've not seen one like that in the hard case rather than the soft one, but then I hadn't really been looking for it. It appears to be an early Model 36 Lady Smith. I bought it for my daughter to shoot, maybe I should reconsider.

I've seen -3 Lady Smiths from that era with both smooth Magna's and wood Combats. I think they shipped with a variety of grips.

If you daughter is going to shoot it order the rubber three finger combat. Hell if you are going to shoot it, do the same. IMHO that is the difference between functionality and lack thereof.
