Default Picked up Two more N frames

Picked up a like new in box model 28-2 , paid too much for it but i had to have it lol $800 . There is a spot where a sticker use to be and has a brown residue on it , any advice on what to use to remove it without hurting the finish ?

Next i picked up a stainless 657-4 , wearing some ugly horrible fitting pacmyer conversion. I replaced them with some hogues , what kind of grips did this leave the factory with ? That i cant seem to find a whole lot about and its also the first time i have encountered a performance center factory box like this .

Maybe hose it with WD40 and let sit for a bit then rub on it with a soft rag.

Is it just the lighting,or does the 28 have a high polish blue.Very nice looking regardless.

That is a nice looking M28. The finish on them seems to be variable. I picked up one last month. . .99% for $550. They cylinder has about the same high polish as my M27. The rest of the gun is much more polished that my other 2 M28's which just have that dull look all over.

Are you referring to the discoloration by the cylinder release?
If so, I would just try using some Hoppes #9 solvent and gently rub the area to see if it will remove it.

I had to double check on your 657...it's not one of the "1 of 150" Lew Horton guns from the late 1990s (product code 178003). But, a pre lock Performance Center 657 snub is a great find. I see these sell for $1400 or more online vs. ~$1000 for the IL version.
