Default Lucky Fri the 13th New Model 69 home

Got the Model 69 44 mag home this evening after the CA cooling off wait which anybody with half a brain knows it is a farce. I'll put it in the pile with my 4 other 29s, Marlin JM stamped 44, and Bulldog 44sp.

I am a little chicken to shoot full power loads I'll admit, but should be ok with the milder stuff, will find out.

Congats on a fine carry gun.
Picked up one a while ago and am enjoying it.
The recoil isn't that bad with standard loads.
The grips that come on it did not fit my hand right and were replaced with Pachmeyer Diamond Pros and then S&W X frame grips.

Default This thread needs Model 69 photos ...

I'm loving my model 69 and have added CT laser grips and FastFire 3 optic on it:

Now I'm waiting on the new short barreled 69 for concealed carry. When I get one I'll probably put the CT grip on it and re-grip the longer barreled version.

Default This is my Friday 13th new arrival ...

I also received a new weapon yesterday, a model 410 special order with stainless slide.

Traded from a member here for my CS9 plus some money. I've got a few other 9mm for carry (3913NL, 3914LS and a 3914DAO) so the CS9 won't be missed.

This 410 is in like new condition and my FFL wanted to buy it from me as soon as he saw it. I told him I'd trade it for the short barreled 69 pictured above, but may decide just to keep it.

Have had a Model 69 4,2" since 2014. Best 44 I own and it's not the only 44 I own. Easier to pack than an N frame and very accurate, with a variety of loads.

Just out of curiosity, will a Charter Arms 44 speedloader work with it? I have some for my 29s but never use them.

I think the short barrel came too late to make it on the infamous CA roster. Could get another 4.25 in and have it re-barreled if desperate enough.

I have the 411 basic I bought in the mid-nineties. With more modern ammo I'm beginning to like the 40 more, but still a 10mm man myself, having 8 of them, one LH 3" 610, the only non 44 cal revolver I have.

Yes they do but takes a little jiggle to get them in there.

I have two 411's and two 10mm Smiths a 1006 and a 1076 and like them quite a bit. I also like the .40 S&W as a defensive round.
