Need Super Fast Rebound Springs
Here's the thing, I have a really fast trigger finger, my gun can't keep up with me. I have no idea how that happened. What is the best springs I can get for my revolver without ruining the feel and reliability of my gun?

I've looked for an extra-power rebound spring for quite some time, not necessarily because I can outshoot the factory spring but because I like a strong reset when shooting DA quickly, but have not found one. The heaviest I've seen is factory strength. I don't remember the exact poundage, but I think it was in the 16-18lb range, depending on model (J or K frame). What gun are you talking about? That might help.
I remember reading somewhere that Jerry Miculek used a heavier rebound spring, but I don't know how accurate that information is, and if it was accurate I don't know where he got it.

You might be better served, by polishing the rebound slide, and other bearing surfaces.

Might want to check with Jerry Miculek , visit his site and see how he sets up his revolvers. I think he holds one or two speed records.
I've seen him shoot and he can shoot pretty fast.

Jerry originally used the factory rebound springs, but in later years went to lighter ones. It's all about learning to operate your finger both directions instead of riding the trigger forward.

Pretend for a moment you're in my class, and I'm sincerely trying to help you. I believe you have a problem, but it's software, not hardware. The stock rebound spring on a S&W revolver is about 18#, and is more than strong enough to stay ahead of the fastest revolver shooter in the world. I believe the problem is you are yanking the trigger back and waiting for the spring to push it forward. That's the wrong software for speed revolver shooting.
Here's an exercise I use: Hold your hand out like you are holding a ghost revolver, but put your thumb in contact with the tip of you middle finger. Now work your trigger finger back and forth about 1/2" as if operating a revolver. Now go back and forth as fast as you can without moving your other fingers.
The speed at which you can move your trigger finger FORWARD is what limits how fast you can shoot a double action revolver.

I agree. I think what you are saying is that as soon as you feel the sear break, your finger should be moving forward quickly. The trigger has no reaction time, so it starts forward on release and will follow your finger back to the reset point. Rapid dry firing might be another good exercise. Start one shot at a time and increase the number of shots 'tiil your can shoot 6 with no problem.
PS Or you can get an automatic revolver like Jerry Miculek

Remember Gene Wilder......
Remember Gene Wilder in 'Blazing Saddles' who could draw and shoot so fast you couldn't see his hand move?
Here is a fast draw version of Jerry Miculek:

Jerry Miculek is amazing, but wasn't McGivern recorded having shot 5 shots in something 2/10's of a second? I'll have to dig my book back out.
EDIT: OK, it was 5 shots in 9/20ths of a second:
Which the video says Jerry was able to surpass.

Wait , the guy in the video said that Ed McGivern shot 5 shots in 9/20ths of a second.....with an old school Single Action Colt SAA !
The one you have to cock for each shot ! I'm Impressed !
Wished the man would have talked about what Ed could do with a Double Action revolver .
