I called S&W customer service Monday and asked if they had been released. Service rep told me they were in full production and had been since late last year and that they had been released to distributors. " they're out there" he said. I thanked him and commented I hoped to find one soon. He commented "I think marketing underestimated the demand for it and the 66 snub, we get lots of calls per day asking about them".
You guys don't want one right?! Besides, the barrel is to short...

I have several email alerts setup for the NM 66 2.75" myself. My LGS has yet to receive one. Even the three distributor links on S&W's website for the 66 snubby don't have any in stock. I've been wondering if the new 66 and 69 snubs have been delayed a bit due to S&W's focus on the new M&P 2.0 line, so really good to hear that they've been in full production on these. C'mon guys, get 'em shipped please!

I really like the full size 69 but I have not gotten interested in the 44 snubs. Now the M66 snub well that is another thing. If I had one of those I could put my model 19 2.5 into semi retirement.
I sure would look hard at a 6 inch 69.

I was afraid the initial run would be too small for demand. I would like one of each but as usual, it sounds like I'll be on a quest to fill that order.

Considering what 696s and 296s go for in the used market, you wouldn't think the mother ship would have dropped the ball so badly.

Thread was started back in Feb of 2017. Plenty avail now, in fact gallery of guns (Davidson's) currently has them "on sale".
Have both 69 and 66 2 3/4" and enjoy both. I was out shooting the .357 this afternoon -- wish I had taken more ammo.
