Default New used 629-3 on the the way.

Bought this S&W 629 yesterday from a Calgunner. He advertised it as firing only 50 rnds of 44 spc. He had excellent references.

When I first saw the add in the CalGuns marketplace I thought "Yea right. $795. I can spend a little more and get a brand new one." Then I saw the pics and noticed the hole in the hammer, no lock and enhanced cylinder stops. Met him yesterday and drosed it. Wonderful CA 10 day wait now, but my p/u date is also my birthday. Best. Birthday. Present. Ever.

Congrats!
You've got great gun for great price. Make sure you lube it well and stay away from super hot ammo.

Default S&W 629-3

Congratulations on your purchase of a very nice
S&W 629-3 44 Magnum.

I have 3; a '90's Classic, a '90's RSR Light Hunter
(in my Avatar), and now a 2009 Mountain Gun.

I reload and enjoy shooting them. Sometimes I
practice with Full Power loads, but now a days
I shoot Lead Bullets at around 850 feet per second.

Thank for the nice pictures also.

Yea, I got a small pile of 29s, but no "shooters" except for one p&r nickel. I would have preferred a 4", but this is ok.

This model is right after the no dash P&R version for being the best 629 made.

My 629-3 is a great gun. Everyone that shoots it comments on how easy it is to shoot accurately and the trigger is sweet.

Best of the best IMO in a 629.

Square butt, full endurance package, pre lock/mim, flash chrome on hammer and trigger for rust resistance.

The one you want for a shooter.
