Better rear sight for Model 617?
I have a recent made Model 617 and can't stand the rear sight. I have changed out the front to hi viz but find the rear sight blade too shallow. Any recommendations on a rear sight and where I can find it in stock? Thanks.

Here are two options:
Smith Wesson Rear Sight Blade K L N
A friend of mine has the Weigand sight any it's OK but I think you have to remove your original sight windage screw and replace it with their screw to install it and it wiggles up and down a little when installed.
LPA TXT Revolver Sights | The Revolver Supply Company, LLC
I have the LPA on my 617, the only problem I had was that it wouldn't go low enough on my 4" 617 (would need a taller front sight), it worked OK on my 6" 617.

Search "Smith & Wesson S&W K, L, N Frame Rear Sight Blade"on Ebay and you'll find a selection. Not sure they will give you the results you want though.

Depending on amount to be removed, what about using a file on the original blade to enlarge/deepen the notch?
