Default TRR8 for hunting?

Hu guys, I was looking for another revolver for hunting. I live in FL so largest animal I come across is deer, smaller than up north, and pigs. That being said, I also take coyote, bobcat, raccoon, etc. And where I hunt, most shots are 50 yds or less. My 44 is a bit big for the lesser game I hunt, so figured I get a 357. Any thoughts on usING a trr8? I like the idea of lightweight and light (for night hunting).

Thanks for any thoughts!

If you go .357, there's also the option of matching a .357 rifle, like an 1892 lever, to your hunting revolver.

I think the only issue you MIGHT have is with hogs, but maybe with a heavy enough bullet....

i carry a TRR8 as a backup (to a 308 rifle) when I'm hog hunting and I'm confident it would get the job done. Of course, as a backup, my shots would be pretty close-range.

I appreciate everybody's advice, and I still plan on getting one.

But nostalgia got the better of me... picked up a pretty clean 66-1 sheriff issued in 4"
