Default Nickel 442 out of jail -- Pics

I picked up my 442 today.

Had a chance to look it over more carefully.

I'm not even sure this gun has ever been fired.

The Nickel finish is perfect, the bore is shiny, and even the front of the cylinder has no burn rings.

Almost no turn line.

Paid $450 in California dollars.

It looks so nice I'm hesitant to shoot it.

After all our helpful suggestions about preserving the finish, now you won't even shoot it? Horrors.

Looks like a nice one, not made for many years. Not "+ P rated" but should be OK occasionally.

I know what you mean.

I've never had a gun I wouldn't shoot.

Sort of like buying a car and never driving it -- what's the point?

Congratulations! That looks like a fine acquisition to me. And $450 in CA money is a really nice deal. I'm curious about the finish. Is your 442 a brushed nickel or something like that. It doesn't appear to be mirror-like nickel from your pics. Thanks for sharing your good fortune.

That's a great looking revolver and good photography skills. I've never seen one in person - and a shame about the whole jail thing ...

I had one but like a knucklehead let it go. I waxed the finish and stayed like new the whole time I had it.

My pocket-carry revolver is a nickel-plated 442 ! Serial number is BPS33xx. I bought it at a pawn shop around 10 years ago and have since added a pair of crimson trace laser grips to it.
Great little pocket-rocket but my old and arthritic hands can only stand limited practice with it.
No worries about you carrying it. Mine shows very minimal wear and it is a great alternative to a 642.
Congrats!!

He who hesitates is lost. Now I have to replace my 642
