Default S&W 22-4 price check please.

hello All-

I have had an obsession for the S&W 22-4 since they were introduced. A local gun store has one for $800 in used but excellent condition. Is that a good price? Too much? Anything to look for besides the usual?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pete

I was just looking at a few on an auction site. Case hardened frame was 1200.00 to start blue was 100.00 less, So $800.00 would be a good price depending on condition. These were used prices.

I would buy for $800.00. (So send me a PM with the name of the gun shop if your not going to take it)

I don't have any idea what these guns sell for, but wanted to mention something a potential buyer should be aware of if they're not already.

I bought one of these guns new a number of years ago, probably not long after introduction. I don't remember now if it shot very or very low, but I had to send it back to S&W for a replacement front sight blade. That cured the problem, but I recall this was a common complaint with the earlier guns.

My gun shoots very well; I seldom use anything but cast bullets.
