Default Model 17-6 .22 ctg

Just purchased this gun and just looking for any kind of info. It does not have the full underlug, and can't quite find much on here. I'm new to this, so that might be a factor. Thanks.

Probably made around 1988. Early 17-6's had bbl. like yours before they switched to the full underlug. I have one and prefer it over the heavier full lug bbl.

If your gun has a 4" barrel, it will have more of a bull barrel than the older model 18 it replaced. I have a 4" 17-6 with the full lug that shoots as good as any K-22 I own. Keep it and take good care of it and you can teach your grandchildren to shoot with it.

This is a 6" barrel. It appears to be in great shape, so I will be anxious to give it a try! Thanks for the response.
