Default Model 19-8 (Walther)

Hi there ...I
guess I could blame you ... ...
In short:
- search&read every bit of forum
- bought gun
- joined forum...
I've just bought S&W, model 19-8
(very, very well preserved ... really not many shots, but few blemishes on finish
- and already few thin scratches made by my own stupidity)

Speciffically:
Walther R99 La Chasse (3 inch)
- me think ...very fair price ... cca 400$
- came with original box (nice suitcase), sickinger
belt holster, nice hogue combat wooden grip, handful of rounds..
- original grip is missing, there is one part, original owner promised to look about at spring cleaning ...
(not that I care much for, but for sake of originality it would be nice to have at hand)
- pics to follow...

Congrats! $400?? You stole that one. You have a rare 3 inch model 19 that was made for Walther by S&W. The matte blue version of the R99 were 19-8s.

The stainless R99s were 3 inch 66-5s. The Walther grips are superb. Enjoy that fine sixgun! Regards 18DAI

Wow! another 19-8 post! It makes me wonder who ordered the special order product code 148926 that I just bought! Nice pistol! It's interesting to see firearms for Europe!

You can shoot hot loads.

Keep the bullet weight to 158g and go as hot as SAAMI will allow.

The problem centered around light (125g) bullets at high velocity over large loads of spherical powder.
