Default New 617 grips

I purchased these from gripseller on ebay and they arrived a day early. I just had to show them off! Ahrends Retro Combat. The wood is Goncalo Alves.

The grain is very attractive, especially the right side. Apparently they were styled after the early 1990s square butt S&W Combats that were standard on 617s when 617s were introduced. Your revolver looks good.

I'm a sucker for nice grain in grips. Those are nice looking. Fun to look at and admire while you shove 6 more in the cylinder to shoot. Larry

Very nice! How do they feel in the hand? Do you shoot that gun single action or double action?

Very nice. I love the 17/617.

To me, they resemble the big target grips that came on my 82 m17. I still have them, but long ago carved them to fit my grip.
