All my favorite calibers start with 4+. But I do enjoy some .357 Mag. Here's a few.

Sure like that 625, Erich. You have to come out to the Big Horn in the East Mountains sometime as my guest. We can have some "Show, Tell, Shoot" time.

Of my BIG bigbore, it's got to be the 480.
A 400g .475 bullet at 1200fps makes a statement.
It's light enough to pack easy, bisley grip makes shoot easy.
Some day I will have a custom Linebaugh made, but until then, this will do.
For range and field, I do enjoy my 4" 624ND. Shoots like a Cadillac.
Had a 3" 629-2 custom made for me back in the day. All the LH versions were snapped up before I could lay hands on one.
If you see me in the woods, it's on my belt. If you see it in the woods, I'm attached to it by the belt.

BOOOM !!
Great thread and photos. I enjoy the "big-boys", even though with arthritic wrists cannot shoot them An old hand-gun silhouette shooter friend wood say re; big magnums " that big fella backs right up off the bullet"

Thanks, partner - I might take you up on that. I wonder if you know my old friend Stocum.

One of my 45lc Blackhawks. If a 265gr Cast over "some" Unique, 2400 or H110 cant stop it you should have brought a large rifle

I wanna hang out at your house, Vette! I usually don't commend other men on a great set, but you have one there, sir.

Ha!! The Master Hunter isn't in that pic. It's several months old. Time to get a longer prop rod and add a few new additions.

And I have to throw this one in the mix. A nice shooter grade pre-29. Shoots like a laser.

I personally like the S&W model 25 that was converted to a 44 magnum with a 3 inch barrel. Very nice blue. Just bought this Frankengun.

Favorite Smith is my 15-3. Overall, it's my Springfield 1911 that has about 30,000 rounds in IPSC competition.

My favorite big bore revolver is my 29-4. It has a 4" barrel and has had the Master Revolver treatment from the Performance Center.

In revolvers I am partial to S&W 44 Magnums and 45 Colts.
As to pistols I dream of a 200 NLC wildcat caliber, with a 2.000" bullet diameter. NLC stands for No Lost Cases. You can easily find all those huge cases thrown by the pistol.

I learned to reload and broke my first Redhawk. I had two. 44 is my limit. My back won't hold to anything heavier.
My favorite because the blued one was my first. I learned alot with it. I shoot Smiths now. They're easier on my back. Rugers are too heavy.

I love my Smith 500 6.5". It's a perfect size. I can reload any weight from 300-700 grains.
My 44 Magnum PC 629 is great, too. Soft shooter.
My Ruger Super Redhawk 454 Casull is a great big bore also.
My new favorite I'll be ordering this week. A 8 3/8 460 XVR.
