Default Craig Spegel Ambi Speedloader Cut for revolvers

Looking for pictures and comments from those that have Craig Spegel grips with Ambi Speedloader Cut for revolvers.

Talked to Craig and he stated my name is coming up soon on his wait list. So I'm thinking about what I want and would like to see pictures of grips with the ambi speedloader cuts. Also would like comments on how they feel in the hand. I shoot both left and right handed and might like the symmetrical look.

Thanks in advance, Paul

I do not have the ambi relief set but the extended boot grips I do have are well made and speed-loaders work fine on the left side.
Not sure why you would need a speedloader relief on the right side unless you have that rarest of the rare: a left handed S&W.
Here's what mine look like:

I'm a lefty so that's how I wanted Craig to make mine (9 sets total J/K). Left is a SB 36-1, the other 2 are a couple RB-to-SB J-frame boots for (in this case) a 36-6:

I asked craig to determine the proper height right side, he suggested the cutout be a bit higher than on the left side cuz he felt the left side had to be cut lower than visually ideal in order to work right (pretty perfect for my thumb BTW).

Walnut looks a little dry cuz it has no finish-- I have Craig deliver unfinished so I can finish w/ pure tung oil.

ryxlyx,

Thank you for the pictures. I searched the web all weekend and couldn't find pictures.
I'm left handed and have shot handgun left hand until recently. For the last 6 1/2 years I've been shooting right handed.

I think the ambi speed loader cut feels more natural in left hand. I own a pair of Spegel grips with the standard left side cut and can shoot lefty, but think the ambi cut would feel better.

To my knowledge, most of the S&W target stocks with dual speedloader cutouts were used on guns with some sort of embellishment on the side plate that would be partially hidden without the second cutout.

The center gun in that photo is a 5" 686-3 National Match with a silhouette target laser-etched into the side plate. A normal set of stocks like those on the other two 686-3s would cover the lower left corner of the target.

Night and Day difference bud. He'll run the screw in from the (lefty's perspective) back side as well.
