I purchased one because it was a beautiful K frame but soon found out I could not shoot it worth a darn.
Not only could I not shoot it well but ammo is expensive and can be a problem due to sticking cases. Had to clean chambers and under the star frequently to continue shooting.
When it is all said and done I would never buy another .22 magnum revolver.
I do have a Single Six and it is a joy to shoot either .22 or .22 magnum when I'm feeling rich.
For the pure joy of shooting a .22 revolver try to find a S&W model 34.
I sold my 48 and have no regrets.
