25-7; let's see those grips!
I have a 25-7 on the way and it has factory grips (wood, thought they had Hogue's). Gun is minty and I want to pimp the grips and shoot the heck out of it.
What would really make it pop? Faux ivory? Something exotic?

I'm pretty sure the rubber Hogue's were the standard grip on the 25-7. It's what mine came with when I bought it brand new a long time ago.

Thanks. Yeah that's what I thought. The 25-9's came with wood. I wonder if the original owner swapped them out. Lucky for me if he did value wise. Gun has the box and all the goodies.

THAT'S THE PRETTIEST MODEL OF 1989, IN BLUE, THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN, Bill @ Yuma. I LOVE THE UNFLUTED CYLINDER, THE GOLD FILLED LETTERING, AND OF COURSE, THE GRIPS. I NEVER SAW AN UNFLUTED CYLINDER ON A MODEL OF 1989 BEFORE. I HAVE ONLY SEEN THEM ON "CLASSIC HUNTER" MODELS. IS THAT A SWAP THAT YOU MADE ? ? ?
I HAVE A 625 MODEL OF 1989, IN .45 ACP. IT IS THE MOST ACCURATE OF ALL MY S&Ws. I DETEST THOSE UGLY GOODYEARS, AND ALL OF MY S&W REVOLVERS WEAR FACTORY WOOD, OR AHRENDS CONVERSION GRIPS......
THANKS FOR SHARING THOSE EXCELLENT PICS OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL REVOLVER. YOU KNOW HOW WE ALL ENJOY GUN PORN.....

Can you steer me to where I can pick up the Tyler grip and those stags? Grasshorn has elk I think. How comfortable is it to shoot? Thanks.

You're better off getting BK adapters. Order on line and have them in a few business days. Tyler... not so much.
This adapter came with the stags.
It's real comfy for field use, but not so much for a range trip where you're running a box of 100.
I prefer Kurac's or Hogue's for comfort.
All my magnums, including a 454 and 480 wear wood that fits my hand. I tossed the rubber stuff.
ETA
Sorry, didn't completely read your request.
Grasshorn should do you right. My stags were off a used gun at the LGS. I made an offer to buy the grips and swap out a set of wood for them, which they accepted.

25-7's are so cool looking! Would hope to own 1 someday. Do have a 25-15. I replaced the factory stocks w/ 80's real targets. It looks better, and feels better to me. Bob

Here’s my 25-9 with Altamont rosewoods and factory Hogues. Not happy with the look and feel of the smooth Altamonts. In search of something different.

In you photograph there is a set of magnas. Team those up with a grip adapter for what the ideal set up.

The lettering is white, not gold. It is etched not stamped. Bought one in 89. Still have it.
