.38 SPL 64-3
Thinking of putting this one up for sale. What would be a fair asking price? Very good shape, 3'' heavy barrel, bobbed hammer, round butt, Pach grips, sweet shooter.

The bobbed hammer will appeal to a few but most would replace it. $400 in my book. Watch your PM's as some may say more and you will get some offers...

I don't care to sell any guns through this medium. I was just trying to get a feeling for the revolver's worth. $400 is a bit on the weak side.
The reason this pistol has no spur was the detective that owned it originally, didn't want it snagging his dress shirts.

Unfortunately the hammer mod does lower the value.
Im with Ken at $400.00 as a realistic value.

I paid $450 back in 2015 for a similar M64 from the classifieds here. Unfortunately, I didn't think to ask and the seller didn't tell me about the pitting under the grips on both sides of the frame. Mechanically, and otherwise, it is perfect - and I just need some time and energy to sand out the pits. Bottom line: 3-inch is a rare barrel length and I would ask at least $500 if I were you. Even with my ten-thumbed skill set, I could replace the hammer although it wouldn't be cheap ...
