Default 627pro grip choices

I will be getting my 627pro from layaway jail in a month. Id like to get a set of wood grips for it. I like the looks of my 29 Classic grips and am looking at something along those lines. Questions, will the 29 classics fit? Its a round butt,(correct) and a round to square conversion grip will fit, right? Anybody have pics of theirs with full size grips? Im not stuck on just the S&W's as grip choices. Thanks, Ron Btw, search wouldn't produce anything for me.

Your 627 will take the same stocks as a round butt 29 or 629, no problems. Same frame, different caliber is all. Now, if your 29 Classic is a round butt or square butt revolver I can't say, since I haven't examined one.

Here is my 627 Pro wearing a set of cocobolo wood Kim Ahrends round-to-square conversion tactical grips. With those on, it feels exactly like my 3 model 27 square butts that also wear the same tactical grip except they aren't conversions since those 3 are square butt guns. I like them pretty well and they handle recoil well. I bought mine off eBay from a person called gripseller and she is good to deal with. They go for $70 finished in urethane and $90 in tung oil. And if you want them stained, they are $90 also.

These are Ahrends. If I were ordering today, I might forgo the finger grooves.

I have a set of those finger groove conversions on my 629-3 Classic myself. I think he is referrring to the fact that finger groove type stocks don't fit all hands. In my case, they fit my hand pretty well on my 629 Classic and also handle recoil real well. But for someone with a larger or smaller hand than mine, they might not fit the hand near as well. Here is a pic of my 629 with the finger groove conversion Ahrends stocks on it. The wood in this set of stocks is moradillo.

sshakrr,

Send me a PM with your address. I have a set of Herrett's Jordans that Dee did for me some years ago that you may be interested in. I took them off of my 627 Pro Series.

They're gorgeous Walnut and checkered. The best part is that they're FREE.

If by some chance the OP doesn't want them, I'd proudly purchase them from you at something better than free.
