Default Anyone ever seen a 3" 640-0?

I was at a gun show last weekend and saw a guy getting his gun checked, saw it was a shiny SW, and asked what he had. He said it wasn't for sale but showed it to me anyway. It was a 3" 640 no dash, after closing my mouth he told me the story about ordering it from SW and how much he paid I think he said $260. Is it odd? I've never seen one. Thanks for your input

They didn't make many. There was the product code 103795 with an unfluted cylinder, and a 103764 with a plain cylinder.

I believe they were only made for 3-4 years, and not in large quantities. This was before most states had permissive CCW laws, so they were slow sellers.

Kernel, I have a 3" Model 640 BFZ1114 with fluted cylinder and box that shows Product Code 103794 (Spec Ord Code 1056). Wasn't sure if you meant to type 103794 or if there really was also a 103764.

Will post pictures later this evening.

Interesting, of course I asked if he wanted to double his investment and he politely declined! If it's a shiny SW in 3" I'll be all over it!
