Your observations reflect reality. No square butt grip frames were ever offered on either model.
These two models were considered the ultra concealable models. The square butt stocks add an additional 5/32” in length to the rd butt frame with a sharp corner at the heel.
However the sq butt stocks can be installed on rd butt grip frames with a filler piece and voila, you have a sq butt.
Such 'adapter' stocks have also been offered commercially aftermarket and can be found on the used market.

J frame post war target grips shown in the smooth version below will fit perfectly on rd butt guns and actually are a better choice for shooting. They are easy to find, most are checkered:
