Default KSD grips

I want some new grips to dress up a stealth hunter. I really like the big ones that look like copies of the Nills grips- big, enclosed backstrap, finger grooves.

I am a bit concerned about quality, though. They look like Nills grips and are priced somewhere between every other maker and nills, which seems high for a copy, but sometimes you have to pony up. I also have read a few threads stating that availability was spotty and there were fulfillment issues with orders.

What are your thoughts on KSD grips?

I have an unused set of KSD grips for a K/L square-butt I don't need. PM me your email address and I'll send you photos.

I actually don't own any square butts at this time, but I appreciate the offer. Can you tell us how you feel about the quality of the grips?

I have a set on the gun I use for USPSA - a 627-4 PC (.38 Super). I can only speak from my experience and have no idea if it is typical or not. I got mine direct from the maker via eBay some time ago. The quality and fit are excellent. In addition to using two screws to secure the grips there are also multiple alignment pins. The butt extension gives you a good place for the pinky of your support hand. Mine do not have the "KSD" logo on them just checkering.

I know very little about patent laws, let alone international patent laws, but if I were Nills, I would have sent a cease and desist letter some time ago. I love mine, especially since I was ahead of the curve and paid considerably less than the price your showing - not that they aren't worth that.

Enjoy.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Wow - $155 for Turkish grips! Although they are a different style, like Bob, I paid considerably less for this set.

They're still in their box if anyone is interested. I won't quote a price here so as not to anger the post police.

Thanks for the post, Bob! They are great looking grips. I admit that like Ed I have some serious reservations about spending $155 on Turkish made clone grips, but they do look excellent.

Somebody here posted that he really like the quality, but his cracked and read about others doing the same. Now these were on the third gen auto so there's a discernable amount of difference in material thickness to consider. Everybody's been happy with their service and response though, from what I've read. I'd buy some if they made an arched back set for my 1066 without hesitation FWI.

I have two sets on my autoloaders

They look good, real good. however both needed work to fit. One was very minor. One still is too open at the frontstrap. I am just putting up with it until I have the time to take them off again and do more filing.

At the price I bought them for, I did not complain. At current prices, I would never have accepted them.

Some of my students ask me where to get them I tell them to forget about it. I would still put more on my firearms, but not at what Amazon is asking these days and not when I have to work on them to fit the auto properly.

I just by more Hogues

That is a stock photo, there is no way anyone could keep up on changing the photo after each sale.
