A while back I acquired a 386 XL, SKU # 164298. I have looked around and I do not see many of these. Anybody have an idea how many they produced?

It's my favorite L frame but I can't answer your question on production numbers. It was only catalogued from 2010 to 2012 so the numbers are probably pretty low. I had never heard of one until I found one in my favorite gun store and doing research on it was difficult due to it's rarity.

I actually stumbled on this one on Armslist. Guy needed cash that day. I did as much research on my phone as I could going down the highway. Gunbroker was useless to put a price point on it, couldn't find any other one on AL and even this forum didn't help. It is in 90-95% condition.
Everyone who comes over and picks it up gets a look of amazement when they realize the weight versus barrel length and 7 shots of .357. The look sometimes borders on utter fear
Well, hopefully someone might have some idea on the production numbers. Calling CS has not worked. I asked and got the "we do not have that information" answer.....

I have been wondering the same thing. I saw one and fell in love with it. I lucked up and won one on GB. I love mine and I am curious how many were made. I'm going to enjoy mine either way.
