Default HELP WITH # BEA48618

Looking at a Mdl 36T full lug Model 36-6 SN BEA8619 ,, can't find info on year of manufacture or if this is a genuine 36T as I'm in the market for a bonifed 36T or Model 50 this particular revolver his a 3" full lug 36-6 that for any help in understanding the fakes from the genuine. Craig

It likely shipped in July - August 1989, product code 101549. There were 615 made, and BEA is a known prefix.

Is this variant as desirable as a snub nose stamped Mdl.50? 'thank in advance

The model 50 has not been made in over 40 years. It is not discussed often on this forum because its too old. Perhaps you should ask about it on the 1961 - 1980 forum. I understand it is a desirable model and considered kind of rare.

The 101549 a very desirable variation. Many members on this form would love to own one. Myself included. If I had a chance to buy either one for under $700, I would do it without hesitation. I've seen them sell for more.
