All of my L and N frames where ahrends round butt, finger grove tacticals.

The L frame is basically the same pattern as the N just shrunk a little bit.

Why don't they do this for the Js? I don't like their current J frame offerings, I want a shrunken version of the finger grove tacticals, they are fat where I want them to be, and offer a little purchase for my pinky.

I've tried the thailand J frame combat grips. They are close but they lack that nice little palm swell that the ahrends have. Hell, at this point I would even pay extra for a mini pair of them to be made for my J frame.

Basically I want my 649s grip to look and feel like a size appropriate version of grips on the 686.

I'm with you. The Ahrends retro combats are perfect. If they would "shrink" them down for the J frame I'd buy a pair in a heart beat!!!!
