Default 15-4 Filled a hole in my collection

I've been searching for a decent Model 15 for two years or so. Last month I was stuck in a Hotel Room with free wi-fi and time on my hands. I was looking at the large auction site and saw this gem. The photos looked great and the "Buy Now" was $395, hell bidding was at $370 so I bought it. Other than a light turn line it is like new. The grips are flawless with sharp checkering. Add $35 for shipping and its mine. Came in today.

That was a steal, especially on an auction site. They seem to be driving the prices higher & higher. Very nice six shooter! Congrats & enjoy!!

I love the model 15...One of my best shooters!

I have a LNIB 15-4 that stays in the safe, and a shooter grade 15-4 that's a laser. Carries nice and light, in an old police holster, too.

I thought it was a deal. Here locally I've only run across 2 in the wild. Both were in the $400 range but were well worn with cosmetic issues.

As 75vette said, that is a very good price. The shooter grade one I bought was $425 OTD, but it did come a really nice set of wood target grips that weren't original to the gun. I installed some Pach presentation grips and stored the wood targets. I've been shooting the heck out of it. Enjoy!

The best part is that I bought two guns that came into my dealer today. The other was a .38-44. The dealer only charged me $25 total to transfer for both.

I bought a 15-3 that sat in the box unfired, but saw some moisture and has a few carat sized pocks on one side.

If I don't focus on the bad it sure does shoot good. A keeper even with her flaws.

Good job! I have a vanilla 1! (67 no dash) I've had it a few years, and paid $395 then. Has been a good gun. Enjoy your 15! Bob
