Well. It's finally arrived. Excited to put some rounds through it.

Nice pics Mr Foot. I've been looking to replace the stock grips with a nice aftermarket set. How do you like those? VZ or Hogue?

I have the same grips but without the more aggressive texture. You were smart to order them that way. Hope you like them. I don't like mine but might had I ordered the texture you have.

Very nice, interesting grips. You'll love it and don't forget to post a range report.

I'll be sure to post a range review ASAP.

Thinking of loading this thing with Speer gold dot 158gr 357mag. Any thoughts? Pros, cons.

I hear these K frames don't like a steady diet of lighter hot loads and the fixed sights where sighted in with 158s.

Also...picked up this old school bianchi holster to go with my new piece. Only good thing about our gander going out of business is gun accessories are on sale.

Leadfoot818,
Enjoy your new revolver. I've had one for several years now and with hot 38 special+P and semi low end .357 Magnum it's a joy to shoot. I've found they have a different carry feel than the 2 1/2" barreled revolvers, even though the weight is identical.

That is sweet! I wish Smith had put the shrouded ejector barrel on the regular M65's. That just give it a whole different look, especially with the fixed rear sight. Enjoy! PEN

VZ. I love them. There is something nastalgic about wood grips on a revolver but for practical carry and use these are amazing.
