New 686 3"
Got my grail gun. 686+
I have 5 shot through 10 shot revolvers but was lacking a 7 shot
and also lacking a 3" barrel. A used 686+ came up locally on an auction sight
and I figured out that with the starting price, commission and tax I could get a
brand new one for $40 more and lock in the warranty. Grabagun had it in my
FFL's hands less than 48 hours after I placed the order.
I got these grips before I ordered the gun. They fit my hand great. I have large hands and my trigger finger naturally fits where it should.
To the range later this week.

Sweet! I'd have one too but the used one for sale is $100-200 too high because it has laser grips which I don't want. It's been in their used case for a year, it seems.

This revolver is the total package! I'm a big fan of the 3 inch revolver and I love those grips.

Welcome to the club. When I am not carrying my SA 9mm, this is my farm-duty-carry. I changed the front site to a Dawson F.O. for my old eyes.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who does this.
Have a 4" plus that's a favorite shooter. Wouldn't mind a 3" some day.

Congrats and nice grain on those grips. Enjoy.
The three inch 686+ was hard to find a couple of years ago, so I straddled it and got a 2 1/2" and 4" while I waited for a 3" to show up. Love em all, but the three is my favorite.

Congrats. I really like mine too. I went with the Pachmayr Compacs. Not the best looking but fits good in my hand.

Those a Jaruwan's, ebay. I got some for my SP101 last year and I like 'em too.
Thank You!

I bought a used polished Talo 3" 686+ unfluted cylinder off a forum member.
Bought some Culina grips for it..
I liked it so much I bought another new one, top right.
Sent the new to S&W for a high gloss polish and a Master Revolver Action Package.
Got it back last week and it is perfect.
I need to take some pics of it..
Why buy 2?
The used one will go to my SIL when my daughter gets married.
The new one will go to my son when that time comes...

That's so well proportioned...
It's a VERY good looking gun. I want one.
PS All the guns on this thread have fluteless cylinders. That doesn't always look good, but on these it looks RIGHT. Now I REALLY want one.
