Default PC 327 TRR8 vs PC M&P R8 Differences

Looking at these two guns, I don't see many differences. Can someone give me some idea how these differ?

Txs!

The primary difference:

TRR8 has a removable rail

R8 has a fixed rail that is part of the barrel shroud

Depending on build date/S&Ws mood it may either have a V notch rear or a U notch. I've seen examples of both.

I assume they both use moon clips?

They're both cut for moon-clips but since the 357 Mag is rimmed you don't have to use them if you don't want (& I don't).

Newer ones have a square notch rear blade.

Some people have said one or the other has broached rifling but I've never seen an example of one that did. They've all had the EDM/ECM rifling like S&W has largely used since ~2000.

The TRR8 is 1oz. lighter because of the opening in the ejector shroud.

Otherwise, I don't know why they made two models so similar. I'd been happy with a (8) shot 627 full-lug instead of one.
