Here are the pictures. Excuse the terrible lighting. Yes, those are Hogue Bantams on a 5". I am a big fan of the Bantams. Not sure when I will get to the Range, but I imagine its not much different than shooting the 4" or even the 3". The 5" tube and the unfluted cylinder really appeal to me. Life is good!
I bought the 3" several months ago and really like it. Now my LGS has a 5" that calls to me everytime I visit. Sure wish someone would buy it to stop the madness. Especially now that I just got more gun habitat.
Are these grips that should have been on your gun? If so I though I would probably change mine until I shot the gun. I am not a fan of S&W wood grips but for some reason these are perfect for me. As for the 3", 5", or 7" version, to each his own. I have found my 3" to be very accurate at 75' indoors and tomorrow I am going to run it down to 50 yds. just for kicks.
Just saw this thread after closing out from the Georgia Outdoors Trader where a fella has a NIB TALO 5-inch 686. For a gun I didn't know existed I see two internet hits within minutes.
The 5" Talo 686 from the 3-5-7 series was my first 5" 357. I loved it from day one!
I liked the grips at first but eventually changed them to something larger.
The 3" is on my short list.
