Default Unknown Symbol

I picked this m66-2 this week, found this symbol. Looks to me like a ranch brand? I tried to find brands of South Texas with no luck, does anyone know this brand?
Thank you,
Christine

Thank you, I think it's cool, and definitely a Texas revolver.
I owned a m66-2 before that had the recessed barrel, this one doesn't.

Could "AJ" possibly be the engraver's initials?

Welcome to the forum.

Andy

Could be what we call AUT connected also.

Texas probably has a Livestock Board or Brand Board if you look in the govt phone book. They could tell you or refer you to the Brand Division to see if it is a brand.

That would be read as AJ Connected. No Idea if it's a registered brand.

I did not find this brand listed on my copy of Texas & Southwest Cattle Brands.

You may find it if you widen your search. Cattle brands are required through much of the western half of the US all the way to Canada. Cattle brands are not just a Texas thing. BTW, a very nice revolver!

Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association out of Fort Worth TX is where all ranch cattle brands are registered.
