Back in the early 90's I was gifted a S&W model 57 in 41 mag. The serial# N124611. Can anyone help me identify approximate year of production?

I am contemplating selling it and also need a ballpark on what is a fair price to ask for it. I personally have sent fewer than 10 rounds down the tube. I can not vouch about usage before it was given to me. It is in very good to excellent condition with no blemishes or rust. Also has ivory looking S&W grips.

Welcome! It is a 1973 gun, it looks nice and even with the aftermarket stocks on it I think it would be in the $700-800 range, more if you have the original stocks, box and contents. Check the completed auctions with a sale on the major online gun auction sites for current selling prices. Hope this is helpful.
