Default model 29-3

Picked this beauty up the other day for $400. Thought it might have been a Lew Horton but they said it wasn't. Any thoughts?, read somewhere that the 3" model 29-3's were Horton's and made specifically for that reason. Not very knowledgeable about them, any info help is appreciated. I am curious about the date of manufacture, value and how many were made. Thanks

First off, welcome to the forum. You can email Earl Minot at Lew Horton with the serial number and he'll tell you if it was one of theirs. If so, he'll email you a nice letter with all the details. The 4th edition Standard Catalog only mentions the 3" barrels being commissioned by Horton.
BTW, you STOLE that one! Congrats!
