I was rather disappointed with S&W factory recently. My wife had her Body Guard .38 light strike on several occasions so I sent it in to the factory. I was in "send back" mode and also sent a Ruger LCR .22Magnum in to the Ruger factory two days later. I got an email notification from S&W in a few days but I got a call from Ruger. Ruger told me that the normal range of trigger pull for the LCR .22M was between 14-18 lbs. WOW, no wonder my wife with arthritis in hands was having trouble with trigger. Ruger asked if they could send me some other firearm as replacement. I was rather amazed but they sent a new LCP with laser at no charge. I called S&W after all this other had taken place and they said they would be at least another 3 weeks getting to mine. I had put a nice note in and said I'd be happy to pay extra and get a trigger job. Nothing till a notice of shipment came in email. When I received the gun back, just a notification they had replaced firing pin. Was really impressed with Ruger Cust Service but not so much S&W. Don't get me wrong, I love Smiths - two Shields and a 640PD, but sure wasn't that impressed with Cust. Service.
