Revolver grips
Hello! I have a Model 19-4 with Goncalo Alves grips. Can any one inform me as to why there is a "cut out" on the left grip, near the cylinder release? Someone said it was for the ease of a speed loader. Thanks!

Original targets had no recess.... extractor would hit the grips enough to mar the finish..................
2nd Gen .... ''football cutout" fixed ^^^^^^^ that; but speedloaders would not fit or were very tight....
3rd Gen targets...... full relief cutout for easy use of speedloaders..

I believe the original football cutouts were to keep emptys from hanging up on the grip during extraction. If I'm wrong someone will be along to correct the record.

Welcome to the FORUM! I am surprised that nobody picked on you for calling stocks, grips. A minor thing in my book. Enjoy your 19! Bob
