All Model 60s are J-frames
When you say too small, are you saying that the grips do not fit the firearm? Or are you saying that the grips are too small for your hands?
There are numerous designs of grips for the J-frame. Here is a small sampling

Caliber does not matter, all model 60s are J-frames and take any J-frame grip.
Many of the J-Frames pictured above are built on the older J-frame and the rest are built on the J-Magnum-Frame.
What grip are you looking at?
Can you provide pictures?

If indeed the OP grips ARE I Frame grips, he/she should post them in the "Accessories/Misc - For Sale or Trade" section IF they don't need/want them.
Last set of TRUE "I Frame" grips I saw sell locally brought slightly north of $100 for a set that had the carp beat out of them.

There are two styles of J-frames. The Round Butt and the Square Butt. Dimensionally, the two sizes and shapes haven't changed in over 60 years.

Sorry to drag this thread up after all this time but I'm looking for an answer of square butt or round butt on a Model 60-14 . Will obviously effect the grips I what to buy ( made for square butt I'm guessing ) as the back of the frame is exposed in the back of the grip .

Round. With very few exceptions, mainly in the Classic line, all new Smiths are round butt.
