Default M631 price check

I found this 4 inch 631 on Florida Gun Trader and the guy wants $900 cash. Seems a bit high, particularly if he doesn't have any extras like the box with it, but I know they've gotten pretty pricy lately. What do you guys think?http://floridaguntrader.com/get_image.php?id=1544733

Depends on condition. the SCSW4 shows NIB $1200, Exc. 850, VG $700. It was a very limited manufacture run, and they are sought after. The 32 H&R Mag happens to be one of my favorite calibers.

He just texted me back that it's just gun and no extras. So if in pristine condition, without anything else, is it worth the $900?

I have one that I paid more than that for last year. I would NOT sell it today for what I paid. Mine was shot 100 times, came with the brass and nothing else. If you get it you will keep it.

Good point. I know I want the gun. No, sorry...I know I NEED the gun

I was looking back through some old threads and saw you picked one up last year, so I know you're speaking from experience.

Default M631

I just bought this one, for $750, and it came with the original box, and tools. It looks like it has been handled alot and I plan on refurbishing the grips, polish the stainless scratches, etc.

Both the FFL and I looked it over and it does not appeared to have been fired much (if at all), despite the cosmetic issues. If the gun had been advertised at $900, I wouldn't have hesitated to buy it for that price.

Run M631 4" search and you'll won't find many, if at all.

Check to see if it has a satin finish and serrated trigger. If so, it is a 1 in 40 gun!

Mine has the frosted finish and smooth combat trigger, so I guess it's just your run of the mill Model 631.

Yeah, we have the same feature codes, product code, and BEZ serial number prefix. Only nothing run of the mill with these unique .32 magnums. They're really hard to find, and seems like they're pretty collectible.

Now we just need to luck into a black stainless Lady Smith 631, or the 1 in 40 SP kit gun 631, to complete the collection!

It looks like you are the original owner of a NIB 631.

I would buy it at that price, it is hard to find . Fair Warning: the 32 got to have more disease will quickly take over. I posted about my range day with my dad and brother.
In this case are all 32 mag or 327 magnums, except for the model 18 in 22 cal.
I got rid of all my 38 or 357 revolvers and ammo.
These are fine to train young shooters or old ones as well. Here is my post about me taking my father out, the 32's were easy on his arthritis and my brother I will nickname "One eye Dan" shooting my K-32.
Family fun at the Range

Yes. I'm the original owner of my Model 631, as well as a 6" Model 16-4.

Well I guess it just wasn't meant to be. We were working out a deal and then he texted me to say somebody called him and offered him $300 above his asking price. I almost wonder if somebody on here saw my thread and is going to get it. What is the protocol on that? I know if somebody came on here to ask about A certain gun and I saw the thread I would never try to buy it out from under them. I only hope he is not a S&W forum member. What do you guys think is it every man for himself and the first one there with money gets it? Or should there be some honor amongst forum members? Of course I am just speculating and maybe some random person was perusing the ads and saw it. I come from an era what a man's handshake and word meant something. I certainly can't fault the seller money is money and $300 more than he was asking is very nice.

I have been a member here a long time so I will say I do not think anyone on this forum would do that. We have previously discussed guns that were offered for sale from different sites and offered our opinions freely.
