Default 2nd Try: Come see my new Revolver!

Trying this again using imgur.com for hosting. Hope you can see my new wheel gun that came today.

Thanks to many of you guys who encourage me to go with the 629, and to check out Altamont's Grips. These are Rosewood that will go just fine with .44 special ctgs.

(Last pic has the serial # blurred out).

Thanks again guys!

Best to all -

Rich

No Sir - 3 inch. I'm partial to snubbies and this one is no exception!

Very nice revolver, I like it. I'm not sure how many magnums I would shoot from it but it should be great with 44 Special.

Default Correction!

Those Rosewood grips are made by Altamont.

That looks pretty nice with the magnas and probably helps with carry, but that's gotta be punishing with 240gr mags. Everything Altamont makes is extra skinny.

This is why I still come to this forum. Great gun. Grats.

So much nicer than 15 paragraph rants on how SW ruined their lives because their gun came with a scratch.

I've got the same one with black Badger finger groove grips. My favorite shooter with .44 sp. Good luck and enjoy.

Nice looking gun for sure! It may be painful to shoot with heavy magnum loads? Bob

Altamont has some great "boot" style grips that fill the hand nicely, especially their "combat cut" grips. They tame some very hot loads down quite nicely for me.

OP, I love that new pistol of yours. Great caliber and I really like that barrel length as it's perfect for belt holster concealment or stuffed in a back pack for the great outdoors. I probably would have went with a slightly larger pair of grips myself, especially shooting warm .44mags... but I think your plan is for .44Special... of which those "Magna" size/style grips will do very nicely! I love the color of them as well. You did just fine sir!

Well now that's a nice revolver for sure. I like it. But if it were mine I'd ditch those pretty stocks for something that filled my hand a bit more. But, it's not mine, so, enjoy!
