Questions on "Flat Side" Combats without medallions
Which model N Frames came with "Flat Side" Combats missing the medallions??
Are those on the left repros???
The set on the right has "DX" marked inside. (629 DX..??)

They were included with the 629-5 DX revolvers and I have seen them on 629-5 performance center models. Quite rare as they were a very short run. Not repos.
As for the second question. I have seen all kinds of stuff written on the inside of the combats.

Thanks for the info!!
The two sets have subtle differences in shape which led me to believe that they are knockoffs.

The set on the left appear to be Ahrends which were shipped as the factory grips on several Performance Center guns.

I like the profile/style of the grips you pictured OP. I cannot answer your question though unfortunately.
My 625 "Jerry Miculek" version came with his own signature style grips. They do a good job of soaking up the recoil and have an almost 1911-ish feel to them. However, my other revolvers have "Combat Style" grips from Altamontco that really fit my hands and carry well. I wondering if a set on my 625 would work as well for me as they do on my "J" frames... Hmmm...

No they are both factory combats, the set on the left came on the 625-6 v-comp along with some of the 629 v-comps as well with what grip frame mentioned.
